Technology

Technology is incorporated into the academic environment as a tool of unlimited possibilities for teachers and students. Quest allows each student to work toward this vision with the use of our Technology Center and state-of-the-art wireless technology.  Promethean Boards are available in all classrooms and labs.  Students are trained on laptops with network/internet connections and incorporate their knowledge throughout the total learning environment. The mobile laptop lab also allows for the integration of technology into real world applications while in the classroom. Quest Academy is committed to providing the latest technology training through the use of state-of-the-art equipment.

Curriculum

Quest Academy’s curriculum includes a focus on the North Carolina Standard Course of Study using innovative teaching strategies. A small teacher-to-student 16:1 ratio gives teachers freedom to design their teaching strategies for each student's needs, to provide the opportunity for every student to study and achieve at or above his or her grade level. Quest Academy students consistently demonstrate, through State Testing, their ability to maintain the highest academic standards while simultaneously committing themselves to excellence outside the classroom.

Class Size

Small class size allows optimal learning for all students. With small class sizes of 16:1, teachers are able to differentiate instruction based on individual needs. Students learn to work effectively in group and individual settings, and learning experiences between various grade levels/students are encouraged.

Accelerated Day

Quest Academy has an accelerated day (8:30 to 1:30) focusing on a quality academic program. The program anticipates outside demands on the student and makes adjustments in scheduling to accommodate the travel and performance schedule of the student.
